Children have had fun over the last few weeks during the Super Saturday sessions at Pool Academy.
They were sad to hear the most recent event was the last in the series but hope to return to join in with future activities at the school.
Pool Academy staff have been offering children the chance to come in on Saturdays from 9am until 12pm to take part in a number of different activities.
More than 60 youngsters have been making pizzas and pasties, creating art, taking part in sports and drama.
Each week there have been four different sessions to choose from and at break times they were given fruit, biscuits and squash.
Yvonne Adams, Super Saturdays organiser, said: “We have had more than 60 children arrive to take part in the weekly sessions.
“The children had a lovely time. A lot of them said they were going to choose to come to Pool Academy in the future.
“It was nice for us to meet some new faces.
“They said they were sad last weekend was the final Super Saturday session and asked if they could come back again.
“We hope to see them again in the future.”
Claire Meakin, Pool Academy Principal, said: “It’s wonderful to hear the children enjoyed attending the super Saturdays. These days are just one small part of our transition programme and we look forward to seeing them at many other activities on offer throughout the year.”
