Year 7s win their first ever rugby game

A group of rugby players in Year 7 have been congratulated for winning their first ever game.

Tom Ford, PE teacher at Pool Academy, took a group to Richard Lander school in Truro for a Rugby festival.

He said: “We didn't win the overall festival but played well and the Year 7's won their first ever game.

“I was really pleased with the effort and enthusiasm shown by the Year 7 rugby team last week.

“They managed to get their very first win and came second in their group which was outstanding.

“It was a really enjoyable festival and learning experience for the whole team.”

Last month Year 10s went to the Truro school to take part in rugby and came away with a win of 35-33.
