The final total raised by staff and students for the BBC Children in Need charity at Pool Academy has been announced - and it is hundreds of pounds.
There were a number of activities held before and during the Children in Need week including a non-uniform day, a bake sale and a guess the name of the teddy competition.
The total amount the academy will be sending to the charity will be £600.45.
Students from all year groups got involved in the non-uniform day where they each donated whatever they could raising a total of £544.
Members of Year 7 then dreamt up a number of fundraising activities for the Friday. The total from all the cakes sold at the bake sale and the money raised from the different competitions was £55.05.
Chris Jadav, form tutor to the fundraising Year 7s, said: “It was the first time we had done a fundraising event as a class and I think it went really well.”
She added some girls from another Year 7 tutor group were hoping to hold a Guess the Name of the Snowman fundraising event.
