Pool Academy has been ‘adopted’ by MIDAS to introduce students to a possible work life after school days.
MIDAS group will be working with students offering a number of different ways to support them throughout the academic year.
Nicola Grenfell, school Career Advisor, said: “This is a new initiative where companies adopt schools to offer support. The companies’ representatives can give support with future careers, workshops or site tours.

“The scheme is a way to merge work life and school life so students can see there is a reason for coming to school. It is not just work, work, work to get grades - there is a reason and that is to go into employment.
“It is an exciting initiative. It is great to see big companies such as MIDAS Group recognise the students’ potential.
“We are looking forwards to working with Midas in the near future.”
