Pool Academy students urged to think about the world of work

Students at Pool Academy have been urged to think about the world of work this week.

Specially designed studies have been created for the children to take part in during their tutor times before the school lessons begin.

For about 20 minutes every day this week members of Year 8, 9, and 10 are being encouraged to research into the different vacancies and careers out there. They will then explore ways of securing the job of their dreams.

Nicola Grenfell, careers advisor, said: “The World of Work sessions have been designed to get the students thinking about what is available out there in the world of work.

“They will be able to research and see what jobs there are and how to get them."
