A Pool Academy student is hoping to direct a production of Macbeth and is looking for actors.
Arwen Taylor, in Year 7, has decided to take on the mammoth project of directing the well-known Shakespeare play. She has performed in six plays in the past but said she has so many ideas she now wants to try her hand at directing. Zack Kinsman will be helping her as co-director.
She is now looking for fellow Year 7s to help her out. She will be holding auditions on Wednesday June 20th after school in the drama room.
She said: “I showed the script to my drama teacher and because I had so many suggestions he thought it would be a great idea if I directed the play. I am looking forward to doing it. It will be the first time I have ever directed a play.
“I would like people to come and audition on the 20th June. It is open to anyone in Year 7.”
Arwen said the cast list will be revealed after school on Friday, June 22nd.
She added: “Directing and acting are definitely things I would like to be involved with when I am older.”
