Pool Academy has been selected to host a regional Special Educational Needs and Disability Conference today.
The National Special Educational Needs and Disability Awards will also be presented at the conference along with others that will be held across the country.
Speakers will talk on the topics of school leadership and SEND with subjects including ‘What makes an inclusive school’ and ‘Staff engagement and well-being’.
Pool Academy received an award in the past which is why it has been chosen to host this year’s event.
The annual SEND awards are free to enter and are for those in Inclusion in education up to the age of 25 years.
Rachel Facey, SENDCo at Pool Academy, said: “We are delighted to host this regional conference and hope to see many people take part in the day.
“I hope it will be a very informative day with a number of talks. It should also be a celebration as we will see the SEND Awards handed out to those who really deserve them.
“I am really excited for the conference which takes place on Wednesday and am honoured to have it at Pool Academy.”
Regional conferences are also being held in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff and London.
