Budding football players are being urged to sign up to some free sessions with Plymouth Argyle at Pool Academy.
The Academy recently launched its partnership with the professional football team to run a brand new Long Term Player Development centre.
Children are now being invited to take part in three free sessions which will be used as an open trial for the new Plymouth Argyle coaching syllabus for Long Term Player Development. This syllabus is aimed at those aged between 5 and 16 years old to give players the best possible Argyle ‘experience’ with structured coaching programmes.
Sessions will be held at Pool Academy on Monday September 10th, 17th and 24th. They will run from 5pm until 6pm for Under 8s, Under 9s, Under 10s and Under 11s. Under 12s, Under 13s, Under 14s and Under 15s/16s sessions will run from 6pm until 7pm.
A spokesperson for the development centre said: “Plymouth Argyle Football Club places strong emphasis on gifted young footballers, with the development of home-grown talent a priority for the future.
“We firmly believe that talented players need to be given the opportunity to reach their full potential by receiving a high standard of tuition that strives for excellence in all aspects of player development.
“The coaching syllabus consists of advanced technical and skill work, along with game principles and understanding. High standards of attitude, behavior, performance and punctuality are expected of every member.”
