Two sporting students represented Cornwall in a rugby tournament held in Devon recently.
Ellie Bardoe, Year 9, and Lucie Mills, Year 10, took part in three matches as part of the Cornwall Under 15s team.
They travelled up to Tavistock to play against Devon, Gloucester and Somerset teams.
Ellie said: “Our first game was our best game. We played against the Somerset team and ended with a score of 32-14.
“We won 10-0 against Gloucester’s team and drew 5-5 in our game with Devon’s team. Devon was our hardest game of the day.
“My family came to watch us play and they were very proud of us.
“We now have another match on March 10th against the same times.”
Emma Mills, Lucie’s mother, said: “The girls were amazing.”
Claire Meakin, Pool Academy’s Principal said: “It was so exciting to hear Lucie and Ellie had taken part in the rugby tournament where they were representing Cornwall. They are a credit to their families, the school and the county. Well done girls.”
