Students have been cooking up a treat in the classroom as they take part in their practical exams.
Year 11s have been working hard over hot ovens to produce a range of professional looking dishes.
Ingredients on the menu included fish, puff pastry, pasta and sweet potatoes.
The students were given three hours to complete their meals in exam conditions. They were asked to produce three high-skilled products in order to get a good grade.
Sam Strana, Food Technology teacher at Pool Academy, said: “Students in their food practical examinations tackled a range of challenging dishes this year. High level skills included fish filleting, whipping up outstanding meringues and some of the best puff pastry I've ever seen.
“Students stretched themselves further this year and upped their game. They should be really proud of themselves and I have enjoyed the company of all of these lovely students. Now remains the task of writing it all up and preparing for their final written examination.”
