A Pool Academy student has been praised after scoring high in a number of performing art exams.
Katie Roberts, Year 10, has recently received the marks from the five exams she took in November.
She received a distinction for her Grade 4 Musical Theatre in Singing, a Merit in her Grade 5 LAMDA for Drama, Highly Commended for her Grade 4 Modern and Grade 3 Tap and a Commended in her Grade 4 ballet.
Kaite’s mother said: “We are extremely proud of Katie achieving these fabulous results. Her hard work has paid dividends.”
Katie has also been given one of the lead roles in the school’s up-coming production of High School Musical. She is set to play the character Sharpay which she says is one of her biggest roles yet.
Katie hopes to use her singing, dancing and acting skills in a future career.
