Staff at Pool Academy are calling on locals to help them find out more about an old photograph.
The picture was unearthed at the school after an office clean out.
It is thought the photograph could have been taken in the 1930s. It shows a group of more than 50 people dressed in costume. Some look as if they are dressed as fairies or angels while others are in bonnets and hats.
The elaborate background is painted as a forest and people are adorned in flowers.
On the back of the photograph, written in reverse, it reads: “Pool School Operetta” and the date 1933.
There also a list of names which are hard to see.
Mrs Fullman, from Pool Academy, said the photographs were passed to her and now she would love to know if anyone in the community recognised any faces or could shed some more light on the event.
Miss Meakin, school Principal, said: “Pool Academy has a long history and it is fascinating when things like this are rediscovered.
“It is possible that we are still teaching relatives, grandchildren or great grandchildren of those captured in the photograph.”
