Staff and students at Pool Academy have been invited to take part in an event to support awareness for mental health.
Heartlands Cornwall and Heartlands Parkrun are calling on people to take part with Run, Walk and Talk at Heartlands for World Mental Health Day.
The all-inclusive event is due to take place on Thursday, October 11, from 6pm and will be held alongside other events across the globe to raise awareness of World Mental Health day.
The run is for all ages and abilities and dogs are welcome too.
Kathryn Marsh, Joint Event Director of Heartlands Parkrun, said: “'Run, Walk and Talk is a community event which encourages people to improve their mental well-being through running. We would love staff and students from Pool Academy to come and take part in the event and help us to breakdown the stigma associated with Mental health. It’s good to talk and even better to Run, Walk and Talk. We look forward to seeing you on 11th October. If you can't make this event then why not join us on a Saturday morning at 9am for Parkrun instead.”
Run, Walk and Talk encourages people to improve their mental well-being through running and to break down the stigma associated with mental health by getting people talking about it.
People are invited to buy a tea or coffee and continue chatting in the Red River Cafe.
Those taking part in the event are recommended to wear Hi-Viz clothing if possible.
