Pool Academy choir joins community candle-lit concert

Singers from Pool Academy’s choir were invited to take part in a community candle-lit concert recently.

The students sang a number of songs at Illogan’s charity candle-lit concert on Friday night including solos and tunes from High School Musical.

Illogan Community Choir and children from a near-by primary school also participated in the event at a packed-out church.

Emily Cromey, Head of Faculty for Music, Drama, Art and PE, said: “It was a lovely festive event.

“Our students sang brilliantly and I am really proud of how the they conducted themselves and how confidently they sang.

“The choir is going from strength to strength and I am really excited to see what is in store for the new year.”

Claire Meakin, Principal of Pool Academy, said: “It was wonderful to see our school choir take part in such a wonderful community event.  Thank you so much for inviting us.”
