Student to help peers’ well-being

A kind-hearted student has volunteered to help boost peers’ well-being by taking part in a festival.

Headstart Kernow Youth has created #Youthfest 2018 which will take place on July 11 from 10am-4pm.

The event promises to be a ‘fun-filled informative day all about resilience and emotional wellbeing’.

It is due to take place in the Pavilion Centre at the Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge.

During the day children will be invited to take part in a number of different activities. There will be a music marquee, music workshops, open mic, Hip-hop yoga, poetry, mindfulness, face painting, badge making, information and advice about wellbeing for body and mind.

A student from Pool Academy will be off to help with the event.

A spokesperson for the event said: “We’d love to welcome young people who are involved in wellbeing work in school or who might benefit from being a VIP guest on the day to help boost confidence/ self-esteem, resilience.”

Organisers would like to see as many young people there as possible.
