A Year 7 student who wants to be in the army when he is older is looking forward to taking part in CCF sessions.

Pool Academy’s Combined Cadet Force takes place after school every Thursday and former Roskear Primary School pupil Hayden can’t wait to join in.

Hayden says he is enjoying maths and geography at school and plays the guitar in his spare time.

He said: “I have always liked maths, it is fun.

“I also play the guitar. I have been playing it for almost a year now and it is going pretty well. I know how to play some songs from Nirvana. I practise every day at home for an hour. I would like to play the guitar when I am older.

“I want to be in the army when I am older. I am going to join the school’s Combined Cadet Force and I am looking forward to that.”
