Students challenged to enter global language competition
Students are being challenged to enter a global language competition against other young people across the world.
Year 10 and 11 Modern Foreign Language students are taking part in the online championships using their French or Spanish skills.
The near week-long competition, called VocabExpress, starts today (WEDNESDAY) at 8am and continues until next Tuesday, October 15, at 3pm.
It’s hoped Pool Academy will top the chart, beating thousands of other competitors, to get one of the prizes on offer.
There will be live leader boards so people can check up to date information about how they are faring.
There are two different cups up for grabs, the Genius Cup and the Challenge Cup. There will also be runner up prizes and certificates.
Chris Jadav, Modern Foreign Languages teacher at Pool Academy, said: “It would be great to see as many Modern Foreign Language Year 10 and Year 11 students taking part in this amazing competition over the next week.
“I would love to see Pool Academy’s name competing against other countries on the leader board.”
