Year 11s invited to take part in a summer opportunity
Today the National Citizen Service held an assembly sharing an opportunity for Year 11s over the Summer holiday.
It could give students the chance to make a difference in the community and to their CV.
The National Citizen Service is all about developing life skills, boosting confidence and meeting new people. It is a four week experience that costs a maximum of £50.
It is a national program and the Year 11 students at Pool Academy who would join other Year 11 students from across Cornwall this summer, after GCSEs.
Week One: Residential at an outdoor activity centre taking on outward bound challenges with the focus of team building and confidence.
Week Two: Residential at BF Adventure and Falmouth University learning to live independently.
Week Three and Four: Locally based non residential where the teams plan, create and put in action a project to 'Make a Difference' in their local community.
