Illogan RBL Junior Football Club and the under 10 girls' team, called The Dragons, used the school’s sports hall to sharpen skills in the wake of the National Futsal Semi-finals.

The competition took place in Birmingham on 13th April.

Derek Jose, Illogan JFC Girls' Under 11s and Under 9s Coach was delighted to reveal that the girls won.

They are now due to play in the finals at St George's Park, where the England National Team train and play, on 4th May.

Mr Jose said: “On behalf of Illogan RBL Junior Football Club and The Dragons, my Under 10 girls' team, I would like to thank Pool Academy for their generosity in providing the use of their sports hall.

“Having access to this vital, indoor facility has been an enormous benefit to the girls.

“I would like to offer my thanks and gratitude to Mark Fuller, a valued member of the Pool Academy team and Plymouth Argyle. He selflessly gave up his free time to offer some bespoke Futsal training. The five hours over two Wednesdays gave the girls an experience of Futsal well above that which I could offer as a grassroots coach.”

Mr Fuller said: “Well done to the girls who won the semi-finals over the Easter break. We wish them luck for the finals.”
