Talented photographer calling for votes

A talented photographer from Pool Academy, whose work is displayed in a St Ives Gallery, is calling on people to vote for her picture.

Freya submitted her beautiful photograph into a competition, run by St Ives School of Painting, for people aged between 13 and 18 years.

It was selected to go on display at the Penwith Gallery in an exhibition which is running until Saturday.

People are invited to view the pieces of work and then vote for their favourites. They can also vote online now but they need to be quick as online voting ends at 3pm today (THURS).

Pool Academy staff are urging everyone to vote for Freya’s piece. They can do this by liking the Instagram photograph by following the link https://www.instagram.com/p/BvT1OEJn_Kr/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=o0sg2p4vhdif

The winning entries will be selected on Friday (April 5).

Claire Meakin, Pool Academy Principal, said: “Freya’s photograph is amazing and shows such talent. Everyone at Pool Academy is proud of Freya and wish her luck in the competition.”

Artwork accepted as part of the competition included 2D pieces of any size such as drawings, paintings, photography, mixed media, print-making, videos or textiles.
