Student plans to carry on her mother’s business
A Year 7 student at Pool Academy is planning to carry on her mother’s business when she is older.
Katie, a former Trevithick Primary School pupil, is settling into life at the secondary school and enjoys maths, geography, history, English, art, PE and DT.
She said: “I like it here and we have our own block for Year 7s. It is somewhere that is safe to go and it is really cosy.”
She said after school she likes to take her dog for a walk.
“One hobby I like is doing cooking and making food. I like to cook brownies, cupcakes and other cakes.
“I want to take over my mum’s business when I am older. She makes cakes for occasions.”
