13th September 2019
Thank you for your continued support this week. I can’t believe we are only 8 school days in because our students have achieved so much already. They’ve welcomed the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall for the launch of our Combined Cadet Force, they have raised money for incredible charities, they’ve presented their plans for Pool Academy this year to local and county councillors and have excelled in numerous sporting achievements.
We’ve loved meeting so many parents this week to run through the presentations from the Information Evening on 4th September. If you’d like to talk through the changes, please make an appointment either by phoning 01209 712 220 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The iPads are already proving to be really useful in supporting students’ learning and we’ve had lots of positive feedback. If you have any questions about their usage, please get in touch by either contacting your child’s Pastoral Leader, or for technical questions please email email@example.com. To support with this you should have received an email earlier today with key contact information on - we will continue to roll out the paper cards next week.
Our printing company have had a further delay with our Knowledge Organisers and Mr Ward (Vice Principal) is continuing to speak to them on a daily basis to ensure all students receive the paper copy as soon as possible. The electronic copies are available from our new-look website (https://www.poolacademy.co.uk/knowledge-organisers) though and we are asking all students to download the copy onto their iPads.
We hope you can join us for our open evening on Thursday 19th September, 5pm - 8pm and we ask that you help to spread the news - this evening is for any member of our community to come and see our newly transformed school.
As always, if you have any questions, please let us know.
